In this post, I will discuss plans that I have for my double page spread, including what my article will be about and the questions I will ask when interviewing others. I will also mention how I will reach my target audience, and who will be represented.
When previously created a survey to identify my target audience, I found that most people preferred editorials. Due to this, I will be creating an editorial. I will make sure to include lots of photos throughout my spread.

Furthermore, I plan on displaying at least one photo of each of the three outfit's in my magazine. My article will be on the color trends of spring and summer. While researching the trends, I found that bright colors are in. I will make sure to include a few of these colors in my spread, incorporating pink, yellow, and orange. I will use these colors not only in my photos but possibly in the text in my double page spread. Likewise, most people agreed that these colors is something they wanted out of the other color options when revisiting the survey. This will ensure that my audience truly enjoys and feels a connecting to the clothing in my magazine.

(The photo is found in the article New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2023 published by Pantone) These colors are specific to the New York Fashion Week.
In my article, the meaning of the colors Samantha Gross, my model, is wearing will be one of the questions I pose to her. This will help to represent the age group that the majority of people in my survey answered with.
When previously taking my survey, most people were of a younger age. This includes 14-18.

This is something I have already planned for when reaching my target audience as the colors I am using are young, vivid and intense. Also, the clothes will be displayed on a teenage model which would encourage people of a similar age to read the magazine. They will resonate with the magazine and feel represented. According to Pantone, expressive color combinations were among the New York Fashion Week color trends. The hues that have permeated New York Fashion Week drive growth and strange contrasts, the source continues. I am bringing up this point because younger people are figuring themselves out and experimenting with new and fun clothes.
I will also interview Barry Gross, the owner of an e-commerce fashion business who sells a wide range of women clothing from a range of different ages. Moreover, the colors of clothing he sells includes these bright colors. I will ask him concerns like what it's like to run a small business. I may also inquire about what it's like to support a customer's individuality while allowing them to choose from a wide variety of colors and designs that make them feel their best. I will also inquire as to how this encourages his clients to feel at ease enough to express themselves. Interviewing Mr. Gross will also help to represent those who have small businesses, creating strong connections between those who own businesses and my magazine, making it more relatable. This might also inspire these business owners to include these colors throughout their shop whether through clothing, jewelry, or other items. These clothes don't just represent a younger group but it may also represent those of older ages and how these colors bring out individualism and fun combinations no matter the age. Barry Gross will help to carry out this message. This isn't my intended audience, however, but it would be great to represent more people.
