Magazine Genre Selection

Throughout these past few months, I have conducted multiple photoshoots including the genres fashion and food. My experience so far with my two photoshoots has been really eyeopening. This is due to the fact that a few months ago I was unaware of the different angles. I was also ignorant to the impact of contrasting lighting and how it changed the entire perspective of photos. In a way these two genres were and still are similar, as it was important to find backgrounds that went well with the outfit or dish I was taking a photo of. I also learned how time consuming the editing process could take, as it was important to capture a stunning image. For my genre selection, however, I have chosen to do fashion. I am selecting this genre because there is always a new trend and something exciting to capture. I am happy to showcase this as my final magazine genre. There is no more that I wish to shoot and explore due to how inspired I am to do fashion. Additionally, my magazine will be different than others in this genre because it will provide inclusivity to a wide rage of people. This is because of the social issue that will be represented in my magazine. For example, the social issue such as accepting those who are different than others will be provided in my magazine. People from across the globe have different personalities with different ways to express themselves. The clothing I will be capturing has both style and diversity. Having this divergence can help set trends of unique clothing pieces to people who might not have worn it in the first place. This will make people who thought they were alone feel connected to the world again. Overall, I am thrilled to begin shooting for my magazine.
