Harper's Bazaar: The Bazaar, Voices, News and Culture, and Beauty
Vogue: There are no sections just the title of each article
Photo Summary: On average, the TOC in the fashion genre mostly had 1 picture, however this ranged all the way up to five photos in Harper's Bazaar, for example. This is most likely due to the fact that there are a lot of articles in that Magazine. The type of photos taken includes front facing shots, low angles as well as high angles. There are some full body shots as well. In the the fashion genre, it is clear to see that the types of shots can vary a lot. There are a lot of photos that cover around half of the page. Contrastingly, for the magazine that had multiple photos, the images were smaller and spread out all throughout the page.
Page Number: The average TOC in the fashion genre had around 17 articles. In the fashion genre, magazines are an average of around 130 pages in length.
Fonts: All of the magazines the title of all the texts are bold and the description underneath is not bolded but a regular font. The title of pages for each magazine is also in bold. In Vogues TOC, the font is in a somewhat bigger print when compared to Elle and Harper's Bazaar. Harper's Bazaar is the only magazine between the three whose page numbers are not bolded.
Similarities: A black font was utilized throughout all magazines as well as a bolded title. Both Elle and Vogue used one photo.
Differences: Elle had one column, Harper's Bazaar had two, and Vogue had 6. In the Vogue publication, there were no sections unlike the other magazines. The amount of articles were different throughout each TOC. Lastly, Harper's Bazaar used a total of five photos while Vogue and Elle used one picture.
My favorite: My favorite is Elle magazine. This is because only one photo is used covering most of the page. Another reason as to why this is my favorite is because there are not to many articles. The TOC are easy and simple to read.
